The Phoenix chapter has selected this year’s Herman Bouwer Intern Scholar — Nicolas Garnand, who is soon to be a senior at ASU.
A Barrett Honors College student, Nicolas is double majoring in environmental chemistry and geological sciences, with a minor in mathematics; he is also pursuing certificates in water resources and cross-sector leadership.
Nicolas says, “My passion for clean and accessible water led me down the path I am on and will continue to lead me in my career. After graduation, I plan on beginning my career and continuing my education with a graduate degree in geology with a concentration in hydrogeology and aquatic geochemistry.”
