Be sure to register early for the best deals; prices increase significantly after August 15. All workshops will be held at the Casino del Sol on Wednesday, September 14. Registrants can also earn Professional Development Hours (PDHs).

Surface Geophysical Methods for Hydrological Assessment

Taught by Dr. Dale Rucker of hydroGEOPHYSICS Inc., this half-day (morning) workshop will provide an overview of various geophysical technologies and their roles in characterizing aquifer geometry, depth to water, fracture locations, groundwater-surface water interaction, and more.

Informed Risk Management: Building Probabilistic Water Management Models using GoldSim

Taught by Jason Lillywhite of GoldSim Technology Group, this full-day, hands-on workshop will focus on dynamic simulation and modeling techniques for incorporating uncertainty and evaluating the risk / reliability of water resources.

Introduction to Hydrologic Modeling for Non-Modelers

This workshop is designed to give non-modelers, hydrologists, and those who rely on the results of hydrologic models, a working understanding of what these models are — and what they are not. By the end of this workshop, you will understand the utility and limitations of models and what questions to ask when assessing them. Taught by Dr. Ty Ferré of the UA, this workshop is offered in two sessions. Interested participants are encouraged to sign up for the morning session, the afternoon session or, for a more in-depth experience, both.
