Saturday, April 27 • 7AM –6PM
The AHS Flagstaff Chapter is hosting an all-day field trip to raise money for the Charles Avery Intern Scholarship and to honor the memory of Paul Lindberg. “Bus ‘N Beer” was a series of hydrology field trips coordinated by Dale Nations in the 1990s. We’re bringing back that proud tradition!
A 55-passenger tour bus will pick up participants at the Mercado del Lago Mall in Scottsdale at 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning, April 27. With snacks, beverages, lunches, and BEER on board, we’ll travel to northern Arizona, discussing the roadside geology points of interest along the way. Field trip sites in the Verde Valley and along the Mogollon Rim will include Montezuma Well, Page Springs, Devil’s Kitchen in Sedona, the Lake Mary Well Field, Tonto Bridge National Monument (time allowing), and Payson. The bus will arrive back in Scottsdale around 6:00 p.m.
