Get Ready for the 40th AHS Symposium!

It’s coming up fast! Join us October 1–3, 2025, at the breathtaking We‑Ko‑Pa Resort & Casino in Scottsdale (just east of Phoenix)—because the 40th Annual Symposium presented by the Arizona Hydrological Society is shaping up to be a can’t‑miss event for anyone in water science, policy, and technology.

What’s in Store

Networking & Social Highlights

  • Icebreaker Social kicks off the event on Wednesday evening. A great chance to reconnect and meet new colleagues while enjoying cocktails and the exhibitors.
  • Casino Night on Thursday evening will be fun and philanthropic: games, a raffle, and an auction benefiting the AHS Foundation. It’s included in full registrations, or you can join just for Casino Night.
  • Awards Luncheon & optional social mixer on Friday to cap things off, celebrate achievements, and share ideas in a more relaxed setting.

Registration & Pricing

Good news: there are several options depending on your status and how many days you plan to attend. Student rates are significantly discounted and even more so if they are a member!

Also worth knowing:

  • Full registrations include breakfast and lunch both days, the icebreaker with drink tickets, and entry to Casino Night (for non‑student full registrations).
  • One‑day passes are available (Thursday or Friday) with a lower cost, but you’ll need to buy Casino Night separately if you want to attend that.

Sponsors & Exhibitors

There are great opportunities for organizations to get involved:

  • Sponsor tiers (Platinum, Gold, Silver) include not only visibility (logo, mentions) but also exhibitor space and registrations.
  • Other sponsorships let you associate your name with specific parts of the event (e.g. lunch, keynote/plenary, Casino Night) even if you don’t take a full exhibitor spot.

Why This Year Is Special

  • It’s the 40th Anniversary of the Symposium—an impressive legacy of bringing together expertise across disciplines.
  • The venue—We‑Ko‑Pa Resort & Casino—is gorgeous and offers a great retreat feel while staying conveniently close to Phoenix.
  • Student involvement is being emphasized, with stipends available to help offset registration costs for those presenting. If you’re a student, this is your chance to shine.

How to Make It Count

  • Plan to attend the workshops; they offer specialized skills and are often the most rewarding for direct learning.
  • Use the networking & social events—not just the sessions—to learn, connect, and grow your professional circle.
  • Check venue lodging early to get the discounted rate; availability is limited.

If you’re excited about breakthroughs in hydrology, eager to connect with others who care deeply about water policy and technology, or a student ready to make your mark—this Symposium is where you need to be!
