The Lifetime Achievement Award honors individuals who have contributed to the mission of the Arizona Hydrological Society (AHS), to the education of professionals and/or the public, to the science of hydrology within Arizona, and who have received national renown for their contributions in the field. Any AHS member or a nonmember can be nominated. The award consists of a personal recognition plaque, a traveling plaque listing all past recipients, a $500 check to an Arizona educational organization of the recipient’s choice, and free registration to AHS’s annual symposium. This year’s award will be presented at the Biennial Symposium on Managed Aquifer Recharge on Thursday, October 8, 2020. Fourteen individuals have received the award since its founding in 1995.
To Nominate Someone…
Please submit the name of the person you would like to nominate, along with details about why he/she deserves recognition based on the following criteria:
- Contribution to Arizona hydrology (50%)
- National reputation and experience (25%)
- Contribution to AHS and to the further development and education in the hydrologic field (such as mentoring, leading or organizing field trips, workshops, serving as a chapter or corporate officer, etc.) (25%)
