On June 22, the Supreme Court of the United States handed down its 48-page decision in the case of Arizona et.al. vs Navajo Nation et. al. In a split (5–4) decision, the justices came down on the side of the State of Arizona. There are nuances aplenty in decisions of SCOTUS. This one, concerning water rights in the West, is no exception. They are just not clear yet.
