The CAP just released its July Colorado River supply report. According to the 24-month study, the forecasted release from Lake Powell for WY2018 will be 9.0 MAF. This indicates that Lake Powell will be operating under the Upper Elevation Balancing Tier, with an April 2018 adjustment. The study also forecasts Lake Mead to have an end-of-year elevation of 1,082 feet – indicating that there will be no Lower Basin shortage in 2018. However, actual determinations for the Lake Powell WY release and the Lower Basin shortage will be based on the upcoming August 24-month study.
