The Lifetime Achievement Award honors individuals who have contributed to the mission of the Arizona Hydrological Society (AHS), to the education of professionals and/or the public, to the science of hydrology within Arizona and who have received national renowned for their contributions in the field. Any AHS member or a nonmember can be nominated. The award consists of a personal recognition plaque, a traveling plaque listing all past recipients, a $500 check to an Arizona educational organization of the recipient’s choice, and a free yearly registration to AHS’s annual symposium. The 2021 award will be presented in Phoenix on Friday, September 17, 2021. Fourteen individuals have received the award since its founding in 1995.
To Nominate Someone…
- Please first submit at [email protected] the name of the person you would like to nominate by February 28, 2021.
- By June 14, 2021 complete the below nomination form that details why he/she deserves recognition based on the following criteria:
- Contribution to Arizona hydrology (50%)
- National reputation and experience (25%)
- Contribution to AHS and to the further development and education in the hydrologic field (such as mentoring, leading or organizing field trips, workshops, serving as a chapter or corporate officer, etc.) (25%)
