Groundwater Issues & Science Affecting Policy & Management in the Southwest

Although groundwater is used across the country, it is particularly important in the American Southwest, where surface water resources may be insufficient to meet daily needs. The NGWA is hosting a conference that will focus on groundwater availability, use, policy, and management in southwestern states of Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Nevada. The purpose of this conference is to further discussion on the role of groundwater in the region and introduce emerging research and initiatives on sustaining local water resources.
