About BSMAR
BSMAR18, the Biennial Symposium on Managed Aquifer Recharge is planned to be held in Tucson in spring 2024. This conference is a collaborative effort between AHS and the Groundwater Resources Association (GRA) of California. BSMAR18 will feature oral presentations, poster presentations, an awards luncheon, and optional workshops and field trips.
This event continues a longstanding series of symposia originating in Arizona in 1978. Past conferences have included talks on integrated water management, groundwater governance, regulation and management, economics, water quality, operational matters, monitoring and modeling, water reclamation technologies for MAR, alternative recharge systems, adaptation to climate change, MAR and land subsidence, and aquifer thermal energy storage.
