Spring 2024 CAP Field Trip to Lake Pleasant

Itinerary
We will meet at CAP headquarters and be welcomed by Colorado River Programs division staff while enjoying coffee and light breakfast items. The group will board the bus and drive out to Lake Pleasant. CAP staff will provide narration about water infrastructure and policy during the bus ride. Once at Lake Pleasant, we will commence a CAP staff-led walking tour that includes going onto the New Waddell Dam (*note – some up and downhill walking is required for this part of the tour). CAP will discuss seasonal operations and the pumping infrastructure. Following the walking tour at the lake, we will take the bus back to CAP headquarters where staff will provide our group with tours of the CAP Control Room and Machine Shop.
Lunch will be provided following the tours. We will end with networking, lunch, closing remarks, and Q&A in the CAP conference room. A vegetarian option is available by contacting Lauren Handley.

$35 members; $40 non-members; $15.00 full time students
