The next Central Arizona Geology Club meeting will be on Thursday April 9, at the normal time and place — the Prescott Library Founders Room, 6:30 pm. The speaker will be George Billingsley, who is retired from the USGS. He met his career goal to complete the mapping of the geology of the Grand Canyon region. It took from 1968 until 2013 to cover those 18,000 square miles, along with 4,000 square miles of Canyonlands and Capital Reef National Parks in southeast Utah. George will be speaking on “A Regional Perspective of Grand Canyon Geology.”
