AHS is proud to support legislation to create the first annual Arizona Water Professionals Appreciation Week, April 14–20, 2019. This program was started by water professionals to recognize our role in clean and sustainable water supplies, to draw attention to career opportunities in the water industry, and to increase awareness of Arizona’s unique water resources.
Thousands of professionals work in water-related fields in Arizona, and we need new employees each year to address growth in the industry and replace an aging workforce. The water industry offers a wide variety of rewarding career opportunities in engineering, hydrology, water operations, biology, policy, economics, business administration, law, and communications in these high-demand occupations.
As part of Arizona’s Water Professionals Appreciation Week, AHS invites its members, the public and news media to attend our 32nd annual symposium on September 25–27, at Casino Del Sol Resort in Tucson. This is Arizona’s largest conference and trade show for hydrology professionals.
Specific chapter activities in Flagstaff, Phoenix, and Tucson are being scheduled and will be announced soon.
Water professionals are employed and supported by a variety of associations and regulatory agencies throughout Arizona. Visit arizonawaterprofessionals.com to register your support and see how you can participate in this important effort to show appreciation for water professionals.
