The WRRC is calling for research proposals from students for its 104b grants program. The program, authorized under the Water Resources Research Act, Section 104(b), and funded through the USGS, provides small grants for research that explores new ideas to address water problems in Arizona. The WRRC expects to award two to four grants of up to $10,000. The proposals must list a faculty member at one of Arizona’s three state universities (UA, ASU, or NAU) as the principal investigator (PI) and the student(s) as co-PIs.
The deadline for submitting proposals is 5:00 pm, Wednesday, November 15, 2017.
Proposals will be considered from the social, biological, physical, and engineering sciences, including water management, water law, and public health. They should demonstrate how the projects will foster improvements in water supply, addressing issues of water yield and reliability, water quality, treatment, infrastructure, and management practices.
