Dates: Wednesday and Thursday, June 22–23
Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Place: 416 W. Congress
On June 27, the Arizona Geological Survey (AZGS) moves to the University of Arizona’s former Arid Lands Building at 6th and Campbell in Tucson. This requires downsizing from roughly 10,000 to 2,500 square feet, which means that we have to reduce our library holdings and cull out-of-print materials.
We invite the geosciences and education communities to a Library Give-away to help yourselves to our remaining library and publications stocks.
Most of our USGS publications and some periodicals have already been handed off, but we still have several 1000s of volumes on hand. This includes geosciences periodicals, large numbers of various texts and reference materials, 7.5’ and 15’ topographic maps, some BLM maps, geologic maps for CA, NV, WY, and UT, some USGS geoquads and miscellaneous maps, and more. Any paper materials remaining after June 30 will be landfilled.
PLEASE — Bring your own boxes or bags. We simply won’t have any to share.
Last, all Arizona Experience Store inventory will be 50% off.
