The Phoenix AHS Chapter is accepting applicants for the 2022 Herman Bouwer Intern Scholarship Program. The program provides an opportunity for the selected student to gain experience with at least two water resources and environmental organizations in the Phoenix area. Monetary award for the student recipient is $3,000 for 200 hours of experience.
This program is open to students enrolled in a hydrology-related discipline at any Arizona college or university. Past participating organizations have included government agencies, private industry employers, and environmental consulting firms. The student may elect to obtain OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations Training as part of the internship.
Interested applicants should download an application packet and send a completed application to Emily LoDolce in PDF electronic format. Submittal information is available on the AHS website. The deadline to submit is April 18, 2022. Interviews will be conducted in early May and the recipient will be announced shortly after the interviews.
