In 2018, the AHS corporate board recognized Paul Lindberg as someone who had contributed a lifetime of service to AHS through the education of hydrology professionals in Arizona. Unfortunately, the award plaque was given to Paul’s family posthumously.
The Board decided at its November 2018 meeting to continue this program as an annual event to recognize outstanding AHS members. Any AHS member is welcome to nominate someone who has contributed significant volunteer time and service to AHS in one or more of four categories:
- Past symposia
- Corporate board
- Chapter officer
- AHS scholarship programs
The award consists of a personal recognition plaque that will be presented at the annual symposium. Winners also receive a free lunch for themselves and a guest at the 2019 AHS Symposium Awards Luncheon, which is always held on Friday.

To nominate, you must be a current AHS member. Nominations are due on June 28, 2019. The AHS corporate board will review the nominations and select an awardee.
