Promotions at Matrix New World Engineering

Matrix recently promoted two of its Phoenix staff to vice president positions. These promotions recognize their professional excellence, leadership, and continued contributions to the growth and success of the firm.

Nathan Miller, AHS corporate board president
Prior to his new position as the Vice President of Groundwater Modeling Services, Nathan served as Matrix’s Arizona Operations Manager. A recognized hydrologist with expertise in numerical groundwater flow modeling, he has enabled Matrix’s modeling team to comply with key regulatory policies affecting the use of groundwater for municipalities, water utilities, and developers.

Harry Brenton
Before being named Vice President of Hydrogeological Services, Brenton was a principal geologist. With more than 23 years of consulting experience as a geologist, hydrogeologist, and project manager he was responsible for assisting private, municipal, state, federal, and mining clients. His project experience includes groundwater supply and subsurface environmental characterization investigations.

Marvin Glotfelty Receives Ross L. Oliver Award

Clear Creek Principal Hydrogeologist Marvin Glotfelty, PG, has been selected as the 2023 recipient of the most prestigious award given by the National Ground Water Association — the Ross L. Oliver Award. Established in honor of Ross L. Oliver by his family, the award is presented to a member who has made outstanding contributions to the groundwater industry. Marvin was nominated by fellow awardee W. Richard Laton in honor of his many achievements.

The NGWA’s awards represent the highest quality in standards and business practices. Recipients are recognized for outstanding contributions through service, innovation, research, safety, and outstanding projects of scientific and technological importance affecting the growth and well-being of the groundwater industry. The award will be presented at the 2023 NGWA Groundwater Week in Las Vegas from December 5-7, 2023.
