The last day to introduce a bill in the First Regular Session of the Arizona Legislature was February 21. This date has come and gone. According to the Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR) Legislative Affairs webpage, some 52 bills dealing with water were introduced in the House alone, and that number is not necessarily complete (https://www.azwater.gov/legislative-affairs). The last day to have a bill heard in committee is March 28. An enormous number of bills were introduced, but only a select few have been heard in committee so far, and even fewer transmitted to the Senate to be hammered into final shape. Here are just a few notable bills.
