Arizona-Mexico Transboundary Scholarship
The Arizona Hydrological Society (AHS) is pleased to announce a new academic scholarship in addition to their existing three academic scholarships awarded annually. The new scholarship is targeted for any undergraduate or graduate student in an Arizona university or college who is pursuing study focused on a hydrology or water resources management topic in the context of Arizona-Mexico transboundary issues. The research must demonstrates active engagement with professors, researchers, water managers and/or other students based in both Arizona and Mexico. Binational engagement is an essential component of this scholarship program for Arizona-Mexico transboundary hydrological and water management matters.
The AHS is offering the scholarship on a competitive basis. Recipients will be selected by an Expert Review Panel (Panel) comprised of individuals with relevant knowledge of, and experience in, transboundary Arizona-Mexico water quantity and water quality issues. The scholarship will be $2000 for the 2025-2026 academic year to be awarded at the fall AHS Annual Symposium.
