Each year, the Tucson chapter and AHS Foundation participate in SARSEF by serving as “Sponsored Award Judges,” giving $25 to $50 checks for hydrology science projects to grades K-12. These monetary awards are generously provided by AHS, AHSF, and the Central Arizona Project.
The event is held at the Tucson Convention Center. We are seeking two volunteers to judge on the morning of Thursday, April 12, 2018. You will have opportunity to choose a grade group (K–2, 3–5, 6–8, 9–12).
SARSEF will provide the judges with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and a half-hour orientation. Judging begins at 8:00 a.m., and the AHS/AHSF volunteers will conclude their judging activities by 11:30 a.m. that day. You will also be treated to a box lunch by SARSEF at 11:30 a.m.
