AHS Flagstaff Chapter Events in Spring 2018

Join the Flagstaff chapter for three great talks:

  • March 7, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: The Flagstaff chapter’s 2017 Chuck Avery Intern Scholar, Melissa Yin, will speak about her experience and encourage NAU students to apply for the 2018 internship. NAU Geology (Frier Hall), Room 103. An AHS chapter lunch meeting will follow at a place TBD.
  • April 13, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: McEllhiney Lecturer Todd Halihan of Oklahoma State University will give a talk titled, “The Future of Water: Data or Instincts?” This is a National Ground Water Association Lecture. NAU Geology (Frier Hall), Room 103. Followed by a lunch reception with chapter members at a place TBD.
  • April 23, 4:00 – 5:00 PM: Darcy Lecturer Masaki Hayashi from the University of Calgary will present “Alpine Hydrogeology: The Critical Role of Groundwater in Source the Headwaters of the World.” This is a National Ground Water Association Lecture. NAU Geology (Frier Hall), Room 103. Followed by an AHS gathering the Lumberyard.
