Abstract: Opportunities with the Arizona Hydrological Society

Max Evans

The Arizona Hydrological Society is offering a student mentorship program that allows the student to participate in water related meetings and one-on-one discussions with the mentor. This presentation by the 2020 AHS Mentorship awardee will highlight the experiences and knowledge gained from this mentorship opportunity. Through the program, the opportunity was presented to joint meetings hosted by the Coconino Plateau Watershed Partnership, the Northern Arizona Municipal Water Users Association, the Flagstaff Water Commission, and the Arizona Hydrological Society Flagstaff Chapter. Each of these meetings were highly educational and beneficial to the awardee in the pursuit of a career as a hydrologist. In addition to each meeting, the one-on-one conversations with the mentor provided the opportunity to ask questions and gain even more insight into the career field of hydrology. As the experiences gained from this program are presented, students will be encouraged to apply for the mentorship and pursue this incredible opportunity.
