We ask that you join AHS in mourning Dr. Thomas Meixner, the Department Head and a Professor of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Arizona, who was shot and killed last week on the U of A campus. Dr. Meixner was a long-time AHS member and a highly-respected hydrology professional in Arizona. The following link highlights a few of the many tributes to Tom and some of his many contributions.

The University of Arizona foundation board of trustees voted to contribute $50,000 to set up a Thomas Meixner Scholarship Foundation. This will be a permanent named endowment, meaning it will generate funds to award every year in perpetuity.
