The Nineteenth Biennial Symposium on Managed Aquifer RechargeBuilding Resiliency with MAR: Convey, Store and Deliver, will take place March 31 – April 2, 2026, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Sacramento, CA. This event continues a long-standing series of symposia originating in Arizona in 1978. The Groundwater Resources Association of California and the Arizona Hydrological Society have teamed up to host BSMAR, with the location alternating between California and Arizona.

About BSMAR

BSMAR18, the Biennial Symposium on Managed Aquifer Recharge is planned to be held in California in spring 2026. This conference is a collaborative effort between AHS and the Groundwater Resources Association (GRA) of California. BSMAR19 will feature oral presentations, poster presentations, an awards luncheon, and optional workshops and field trips.

This event continues a longstanding series of symposia originating in Arizona in 1978. Past conferences have included talks on integrated water management, groundwater governance, regulation and management, economics, water quality, operational matters, monitoring and modeling, water reclamation technologies for MAR, alternative recharge systems, adaptation to climate change, MAR and land subsidence, and aquifer thermal energy storage.
