Finally, it came down. On August 21, 2026, the United States Department of the Interior, through its Bureau of Reclamation, released the Record of Decision (ROD) and Operating Guidelines 2007 through 2036 for the Final Environmental Impact Statement, itself released on July 31. Documents relating to these points can be found here. You should review the relevant documents, especially the ROD and Operating Guidelines. This is an important step forward in managing the Colorado River, a major milestone.
